- Our Journey
ORIGINS
Founded in 2010, ELGENS started with a clear purpose: to build display solutions that could survive where standard technology could not. Beginning with open frame LCD projects and capacitive touch applications in Taiwan, the company established its first international business relationship in Spain the same year — an early signal of the global ambition that would define its path forward.
EVOLUTION
As industrial and defense applications grew more demanding, ELGENS evolved with them. In 2016, the company launched the LPC series — a defining step in its rugged computing identity. Wide-temperature panel PCs followed, capable of operating from −40°C to +80°C, pushing the boundaries of what ruggedized systems could endure in the field.
DEFENSE-GRADE
From IEC 60945 marine certification in 2019 to MIL-STD-810H, MIL-STD-461G (CE101 , CE102 , RE101 , RE102 , CS118), MIL-STD-704F, and MIL-STD-1275E military standards — ELGENS is one of the few rugged computing manufacturers to hold simultaneous certifications across this full spectrum of defense and maritime requirements. Every standard earned is a commitment to the operators, commanders, and systems integrators who depend on ELGENS in the field.
"Valuable Innovation for Defense."
Milestone
From a single display workshop in 2010 to a globally certified defense technology company — ELGENS' journey is defined by one principle: engineering that performs when it matters most. Today, ELGENS products are trusted by defense and industrial operators across Europe, North America, Japan, India, Turkey, and the broader Indo-Pacific region — deployed on naval vessels, ground vehicles, air traffic control systems, and coastal defense platforms. Each milestone marks not just a product launch or a certification earned, but a step toward becoming the partner of choice for mission-critical operations worldwide.
