ELGENS Ventures into Post-Quantum Cryptography : Committed to Quantum-Safe Integrated Solutions

By implementing Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), ELGENS has evolved from a traditional hardware supplier into a provider of "Hardware + PQC Cybersecurity Solutions". We offer end-to-end solutions that combine reliability with quantum security, assisting partners in accelerating system integration and certification processes. Our approach reduces latency and the attack surface associated with cloud round-trips while expanding transmission capabilities for multi-scenario and multi-tasking environments. By establishing a foundation of trust and resilience, we focus directly on defense application innovation to achieve "more real-time, more credible, and more secure" edge applications. 1.Core Background: Quantum Threats and HNDL Urgency: The global cybersecurity landscape has entered a "Quantum Countdown". The mathematical problems relied upon by traditional asymmetric encryption (RSA/ECC) will be cracked by Shor’s algorithm on quantum computers, rapidly shortening the effective lifespan of existing protections. Primary Threat: HNDL (Harvest Now, Decrypt Later) attacks have become a reality. Attackers capture and store encrypted data now, intending to decrypt it once quantum capabilities mature. This poses a fatal risk to high-value, long-term confidential data on edge servers, such as AI recognition results and real-time video. Technical Response: We utilize Lattice-Based Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) to replace or supplement existing RSA/ECC with quantum-safe algorithms. This strengthens edge credibility while minimizing the latency and attack surfaces caused by cloud-based processing. Regulatory Drivers: NIST has released FIPS 203, 204, and 205, driving a national-level PQC migration. Simultaneously, the European Union is implementing compliance frameworks under the "Quantum-Safe 2030" goal, covering cryptographic modernization for critical infrastructure and the public sector. With dual regulatory pressure from both the U.S. and the EU, PQC deployment has transitioned from an option to a necessity. 2. Technical Solution: Lattice-Based PQC ELGENS has selected NIST-standardized Lattice-Based cryptography as its core technology due to its resistance to quantum attacks and its engineering feasibility.  Key Exchange: Utilizes ML-KEM (Kyber) (FIPS 203). Advantages: It offers high computational efficiency (based on polynomial operations) and features relatively small key and ciphertext sizes. This makes it ideal for running on resource-constrained fanless edge computing platforms and high-speed 10 GbE networks without sacrificing system performance or throughput. Digital Signature: Utilizes ML-DSA (Dilithium) (FIPS 204). Purpose: Ensures non-repudiation of identity and data integrity. It is applied to verify Web Server digital certificates and sign firmware/software updates to prevent malicious system tampering. 3.Deployment Architecture: TLS 1.3 and Hybrid Encryption This solution integrates PQC algorithms into the TLS 1.3 communication protocol to provide default quantum-safe protection for edge Web Servers. Hybrid PQC Strategy: Recognized as an industry best practice, the system simultaneously runs classical algorithms (such as ECC) alongside quantum-safe algorithms (ML-KEM) during the TLS handshake. Security Assurance: The session key is derived from both algorithms. As long as one of the algorithms remains uncracked, the communication remains secure, effectively mitigating the unknown risks associated with implementing a single new algorithm. 4.Corporate Transformation and Competitive Advantage Through this technical upgrade, ELGENS has completed a strategic transformation: Previous Positioning: Provider of rugged hardware equipment. New Positioning: One-stop integrator of "Hardware + PQC Information Security". Customer Value: Clients can achieve a "plug-and-play" security upgrade without needing to handle complex PQC algorithm integration and verification. They receive NIST-compliant, quantum-safe protection built directly into ruggedized hardware. Conclusion In summary, this white paper illustrates how ELGENS utilizes ML-KEM combined with hybrid encryption to upgrade rugged hardware into a quantum-safe platform. By offering a compliant, low-latency, and plug-and-play solution, we are among the first to neutralize HNDL risks and strengthen the resilience of mission-critical edge computing. This provides our customers with quantifiable security upgrades and a clear competitive advantage.
