FAQ

What are ELGENS' main products and solutions?

ELGENS offers not only rugged displays and Panel PCs, but also mission-ready computing and integrated cybersecurity solutions for defense, maritime, industrial, and critical infrastructure applications. Its main products include:

1. Rugged Displays: The portfolio covers industrial, military, maritime, vehicle-mounted, and outdoor displays, with options for high brightness, optical bonding, AG/AR, vandal-resistant glass, wide operating temperature ranges, IP protection, NVIS, and military/maritime compliance, depending on requirements.
2. Rugged Panel PCs and HMI Platforms: These integrate a display, touch interface, processor, memory, storage, and I/O into a single device.
3. Mission-ready Computing Solutions: These include defense-grade Panel PCs, military computers, edge computing platforms, and project-specific computing devices, with processors, GPUs, I/O, power supplies, cooling, mechanical designs, and connectors configurable to meet requirements.
4. AI and Secure Edge Computing Products: The X-Corleone Series is a secure AI Server for edge deployment that can be configured with an AI GPU and integrates PQC, X-Corleone Safe Platform, dual TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, TLS 1.3 with PQC, and full-disk encryption.
5. PQC Post-Quantum Cryptography and Cybersecurity Gateway Products: The Shelby 1U PQC Gateway Series can help existing enterprise, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments gradually adopt PQC through hybrid TLS, TPM 2.0, Secure Boot, hardware network bypass, HA, Syslog, and 10GbE SFP+.
6. Hardware, Software, and System Integration Services: Integration of CPU/GPU, mechanical design, thermal design, power supplies, touch interfaces, brightness, I/O, cabling, firmware, and cybersecurity features is available based on project requirements, with support for rapid customization, prototype development, testing, version control, and long-term supply.

Actual specifications, certifications, cybersecurity features, and customization options must be confirmed for the specified product model and project configuration.

How should I select ELGENS products for outdoor, marine, or high- and low-temperature environments?

Do not base your selection solely on product labels such as "outdoor" or "military." Verify each requirement individually, including operating temperature, front-panel or whole-unit protection, power input, brightness, vibration, shock, and required certifications.

For military, marine, and industrial applications, ELGENS offers displays, Panel PCs, and edge computing platforms that, depending on the product series, can support the requirements of standards such as MIL-STD-461G, MIL-STD-704F, MIL-STD-1275E, MIL-STD-810H, and IEC 60945. Some products can also be configured for -40°C to 70°C operation, IP65/IP67 protection, high brightness, optical bonding, fanless operation, and glove-compatible touch. Actual certifications and temperature ranges must still be confirmed based on the complete model number.

Should I choose an ELGENS industrial monitor, Panel PC, or AI/PQC platform?

If you already have a host computer or controller on site and your primary requirements are visual display and touch operation, you can choose an ELGENS industrial monitor. If you need to integrate the display, touch functionality, processor, storage, and I/O into a single device, you can consider an ELGENS Panel PC.

If your application requires AI inference, edge computing, or military-grade cybersecurity, you can consider the X-Corleone AI Edge Server. If you want to gradually introduce post-quantum cryptography into existing enterprise, industrial, or critical infrastructure environments, you can consider the Shelby 1U PQC Gateway. ELGENS can provide display, computing, cybersecurity, and system integration solutions based on project requirements, rather than offering only a single hardware product.

What screen sizes does ELGENS offer, and how should I choose a size?

ELGENS offers product series ranging from small displays and standard industrial sizes to large displays or displays with specialized aspect ratios. The Panel PC product category includes various sizes from 10.1 inches to 24 inches.

When selecting a size, we recommend first confirming the available installation space and cutout dimensions, viewing distance, amount of information to be displayed, and whether touch operation is required. For applications on ship bridges, in command centers, in vehicle-mounted equipment, or in specialized mechanical assemblies, ELGENS can also evaluate mechanical dimensions, panel type, brightness, touch functionality, and mounting methods on a project-by-project basis.

What information should I provide when requesting a quote or comparing ELGENS models?

We recommend providing the following information:

• Deployment environment and equipment platform, such as marine vessels, vehicles, outdoor locations, factories, or command centers.
• Screen size, viewing distance, installation space, and cutout dimensions.
• Video sources, resolution, brightness, and required input interfaces.
• Touch input method, glove operation, rainy conditions, or vandal-resistance requirements.
• Operating temperature, IP protection, vibration, shock, and humidity conditions.
• Required MIL-STD, IEC 60945, NVIS, or other compliance documentation.
• Panel PC CPU, RAM, storage, I/O, operating system, and application workload.
• AI, GPU, PQC, TPM, Secure Boot, or data encryption requirements.
• Project quantity, lead time, lifecycle, and long-term supply requirements.

ELGENS offers hardware/software integration, rapid customization, prototype development, and testing support, helping prime contractors, system integrators, and government projects organize product and compliance requirements. For defense or government projects, you may also specify supplier qualification, NCAGE, or cybersecurity documentation requirements to facilitate preliminary assessment.
